JOB SUMMARY:
Industrial Electrician in training, working in a manufacturing factory environment.
APPRENTICESHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Enrolment in a state approved apprenticeship program for a period of 4 years including a minimum 576 hours of approved course work.
- Enter into an apprenticeship agreement
- Successful completion of an aptitude test
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist qualified personnel with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Install and terminate conduit, wire, cable control panels, motors and other industrial equipment.
- Preform preventative maintenance to ensure safe reliable operation.
- Use test equipment, hand and power tools to assist in the diagnoses and resolution of equipment issues.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E electrical safe electrical practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while documenting work performed and participating in on-the-job training and related classroom instruction.
RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Pre apprenticeship training or electrical experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong math skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking while performing duties
- Required to climb, stoop, or kneel
WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Work schedule to change during the program to provide time on all shifts and to accommodate classes
- Overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
COMPENSATION:
- $20-$30/hr. depending on completed classes or experience
- Overtime- time and half. Sundays- double time
- Annual reviews

RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s degree in business/technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional communication skills and attitude.
- 2 years of related work experience, with progressive levels of responsibilities.
- Experienced team builder and coach.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a basic level of computer skill (Word, Outlook)
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments
- Experience using statistical process control techniques
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Standing, walking while performing duties
- Occasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel
- Frequently required to operate a fork truck, hand truck, and overhead crane
WORKING SCHEDULE:
- 3 pm – 11:30 pm
- Overtime and weekends as required.
COMPENSATION:
- $25-$30/hr
- 2nd Shift Premium -$1.00/hr, Melt Premium $1.50/hr
- Overtime- time and half. Sundays- double time.

Job Description: Manufacturing maintenance – perform maintenance, repair and installation of various equipment in order to maintain a safe and effective production environment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Repair and rebuild heavy industrial equipment.
- Work independently – prioritize plant needs based on production sensitivity
- Perform installation and setup of new production machinery.
- Perform safety inspections and preventive maintenance on specified items.
- Troubleshooting - diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Frequently required to work from heights, ladders, operate and work from a man lift, operate a fork truck and hand jack
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years as a journeyman/equivalent in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Ability to demonstrate and apply mechanical aptitude
- Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments
- Basic ability to read blueprints, equipment specifications and installation instructions.
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic welding (stick, MIG, TIG) and fabrication skills
- Machining experience (lathe, mill, surface grinder)
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. on a regular basis
- Standing, walking while performing duties
- Occasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel
WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Split shift between days and afternoons or nights and days preferred. Open for negotiation.
- Overtime and weekends as required.
COMPENSATION:
- $30
-$45/hr. depending on qualifications - Shift Premium for hours outside of day shift.
- Annual reviews

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

WORKING SCHEDULE:
- 1st shifts – 6am – 2:30pm, 6:30am – 3pm, 7am-3:30 pm
- 2nd shifts – 2:00pm – 10:30pm, 2:30pm – 11pm, 3pm-11:30 pm
- 3rd shifts – 10pm - 6:30am, 10:30pm – 7am, 11pm-7:30 am
- Must be flexible, as senior employees have priority to displace newer employees to other positions and shifts.
- Overtime and weekends as required.
COMPENSATION:
- Starting wage: $19.50/hr
- 2nd shift premium $1.00/hr, 3rd shift premium $0.50/hr
- Melting department premium $1.50/hr
- Overtime- time and half. Sundays- double time.
