2nd Shift Assistant Team Leader

Job Description: Hands on supervision role. Lead a team of operators to meet production objectives. Make daily decisions to ensure safety and quality requirements are met. Responsible for daily operations and coaching.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead a team as a source of calm, confidence, and technical knowledge.
2. Ensure safety is the number one priority on the production floor.
3. Execute a production plan, including daily metrics and weekly inventory.
4. Supervise, mentor, and train a team of 4 to 5 operators.
5. Work directly with maintenance in troubleshooting equipment.
6. Become a process expert, able to step in to any role in the department and support your team.

RECOMMENDED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associate’s degree in business/technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Exceptional communication skills and attitude.
3. 2 years of related work experience, with progressive levels of responsibilities.
4. Experienced team builder and coach.
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a basic level of computer skill (Word, Outlook)
6. Able to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments
7. Experience using statistical process control techniques

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
2. Standing, walking while performing duties
3. Occasionally required to climb, stoop, or kneel
4. Frequently required to operate a fork truck, hand truck, and overhead crane

WORKING SCHEDULE:

1. 3 pm – 11:30 pm
2. Overtime and weekends as required.

COMPENSATION:

1. $25-$30/hr
2. 2^nd Shift Premium -$1.00/hr, Melt Premium $1.50/hr
3. Overtime- time and half.  Sundays- double time.
4. Annual reviews
